Chuva Featherstone is a mixed media artist born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her work consists of the layering and deconstructing of textures and figurative shapes, often depicting women, caught in the whispers of subtle shifts and the seemingly “complex” tangles of self-renewal.

Pulling heavily from the colorful and vast cityscape of her hometown as well as personal experiences of backsliding and self-destruction, Chuva transmutes moments of reckoning into a form of non-linear storytelling, her own piecemeal map navigating womanhood. 

Chuva lives in Copenhagen with her partner and their two children. She runs the studio space, demeter, where she also teaches art and does transformational coaching.
